at the risk of offending others

No matter how absolutely conflicted - for every reason - my heart has been the past 24 hours, it hasn’t once been glad. How is it any less malicious to seek out and celebrate the death of another person? The loss of a life is not something to be excited about, no matter the choices they made and destruction that life caused. Someone’s life is not anyone else’s to take. And, in saying that, I am not at all trying to belittle 9/11 or the evil Osama conducted. I just still can’t see a reason for the mocking of a dead body. In all of this, I still have complete respect for our President and for the opinions of everyone else. But I just get absolutely sad to see so much hate multiply, and for statements like, “May he rot in hell,” be commended. Obviously, if Osama walked up to me, I wouldn’t have been like, “Oh, hey man. You know what, it’s cool, I know you were going through some stuff. You do your thing, I’ll do mine.” But the choices made by him to not give mine a reason to be hateful.
